Release party, part 3: A taste of Scotland, for your ears! (post by Anna)
Any of you who have read my blog regularly or subscribe to my newsletter realize I love music. It plays a vital role in my writing process, but I also just love to listen to music of many and varied genres. Pop is my number-one go-to category, but while earning my two degrees in music I was exposed to music from around the world, throughout the ages. I’m just as likely to be listening to Mozart as Michael Bublé, and I enjoy discovering new regional flavors.
Naturally, with my love of Scottish culture and history, I’ve become a fan of Scottish music — from pop to pipes, and everything in between. To help get you in the mood for Dangerous in a Kilt, I’m giving away a digital copy (gifted through Amazon) of The Best Scottish Album on the Planet. The album includes 27 songs that run the gamut of Scottish tunes, from the iconic anthem “Scotland the Brave” to the pop ditty “500 Miles,” which also became a hit song here in the U.S. I can envision Lachlan and Erica cranking up this album.
Due to Amazon’s restrictions, this giveaway is limited to U.S. residents only. However, with a free Spotify account you can listen to the entire album! For your chance to win the album, just enter via the Rafflecopter widget below (or click the link if you can’t see the widget).
Now let’s talk! Do you have a favorite Scottish artist or song? If so, please share it in a comment.
