Release party, part 2: The song that inspired Dangerous in a Kilt (post by Anna)
Welcome back to the release day party! It’s time for the first giveaway.
If you read my previous post, you’ve seen my playlist of songs that inspired portions of the story in Dangerous in a Kilt or that simply provided the right mood for certain scenes. One song had such an influence over the story that I’ve decided to give away a CD copy of the album it came from, Hazardous by Vanessa Amorosi. The song “Mr. Mysterious” served as the spark that ignited a fun, sizzling, and vital part of the book — the first two chapters, where Erica and Lachlan meet in a sexy underground club.
The lyrics of “Mr. Mysterious” are quirky, like Erica, with hint of sexiness. If you hear the whole song, there’s a line about “conventional ways” that reminds me of the unconventional road Erica and Lachlan’s relationship takes. I can’t quote you the exact line because the copyright restrictions surrounding song lyrics are far stricter than with books. Bummer! If you sign up for a free Spotify account, you can listen to the entire album for free.
I’m giving away a CD copy of Hazardous (a fantastic pop album, by the way) because it’s not available in digital format here in the U.S. Since I’ll be shipping it to the winner myself, this giveaway is for U.S. residents only. Don’t worry, my far-away friends, the final contest later today will include you!
For a chance to win a CD copy of Hazardous, just enter via the Rafflecopter widget below (or click the link if you can’t see the widget).
