Please tell us a little about yourself, the romance subgenre(s) in which you write, and your newest book.
I am from Michigan and currently live in Southwest Michigan. I am married and have a precious 10 month old daughter with another little princess on the way. I work full time as an HR systems manager. I love to write paranormal romances with tons of magical creatures, insane situations, and happy endings. I live for books that have characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. My newest book is about a group of goddesses representing the immortals at a shape shifter convention.
You have the chance to date either Mr. Darcy (from Pride & Prejudice) or Sherlock Holmes. Which one would you choose and why?
I would date Mr. Darcy, hands down. I love Jane Austen and have always had a soft spot for Mr. Darcy. He’s so charmingly clueless that you can’t help but love him. Everyone wants a gentleman that treats you like you’re his world.
What’s your favorite part of writing?
My favorite part of writing is getting to portray so many different types of characters. I love being able to be the alpha female or sweet girl next door. I think it’s fun to have my character go places and have reactions that are completely different than my own.
How do your family and friends feel about your romance writing?
My friends and family are very supportive of my romance writing. I sometimes have a mini heart attack thinking that a family member is reading certain sections of my book. We’ve made an agreement that they’ll ignore any kissy kissy parts. Whether they stick to that agreement or not is anyone’s guess.
What stories do you have in the works right now?
I just started drafting the fourth book in my Goddess Ascension series. I’ve been working out how I think the plot should go. The fourth book will focus around Enyo, the Goddess of War, and her friends in Skin of a Goddess. They will be doing their best to keep Peitho and Hunter’s royal wedding running smoothly.
Victoria C. Johnson lives in Michigan with her supportive husband and amazing family. She became serious about her passion for writing shortly after having her daughter. As someone who strongly believes in doing what makes you happy, she decided to follow her own advice. She loves writing almost as much as she loves reading. Victoria adores happy endings, heartfelt characters, and extraordinary situations. She hopes to bring a little more of that to life every day.
Goddesses just want to have fun, right?
Peitho’s first job as an Immortal Representative means slumming it at the Shifter Convention, where shifters and supernaturals will be meeting to discuss concerns and build relations. She’s sure it’s going to be boring—all they have to complain about is fleas and territory.
Wait . . . is that a dragon?
Obsessive is a strong word.
Hunter thinks Peitho would make a great addition to his hoard of treasure. Dragons are famously acquisitive; how is he supposed to ignore her? Everyone always says it’s bad to fight your nature.
When shifters begin disappearing from the convention, and bodies quickly appearing, Peitho and Hunter have no choice but to investigate. Will Hunter and Peitho manage to solve the crime while still keeping their hearts intact?
